BMC Software is hiring a sales-focused data leader to deliver on a strategic mandate from the Chief Revenue Officer: build and execute the go-to-market data strategy that powers our global revenue engine. This role is central to enabling BMC's transformation into a data-driven, AI-enabled sales organization, where insights—not just information—drive smarter decisions, higher productivity, and consistent growth.
As BMC's trusted advisor to the CRO, executive leadership, and sales management, you will provide the clarity and foresight needed to guide both strategy and daily execution. Operating within the Sales organization, you will work in close collaboration with Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, and Business Units to align and elevate GTM data into one coherent, trusted architecture.
Your scope includes oversight of Salesforce, Aviso, and other critical sales and marketing platforms, ensuring they are integrated, governed, and scaled to deliver maximum business impact. Beyond the technology, you will define the leading indicators that matter, create a Sales Data Playbook that translates strategy into execution, and act as the center of excellence for sales insights across BMC.

- Partner directly with the CRO and senior sales leadership to translate strategic business priorities into a unified GTM data strategy that drives predictability, productivity, and growth
- Define and operationalize the leading indicators of sales success, embedding them into leadership dashboards, sales management routines, and frontline execution practices
- Design and govern the end-to-end GTM data architecture—spanning Salesforce, Aviso, and other sales/marketing platforms—to ensure integrated, scalable, and business-ready insights
- Build and implement a Sales Data Playbook that enables sales teams, managers, and partners worldwide to act on consistent, data-led guidance
- Lead regular, data-driven performance and strategy reviews with sales and cross-functional leadership, ensuring insights continuously inform decisions and in-quarter execution
- Ensure data integrity, trust, and accountability across all GTM systems, giving leaders the confidence to act quickly and decisively
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
- You have a proven record of partnering directly with a CRO and senior sales leadership to design and deliver enterprise-wide sales data strategies
- You have built and scaled unified GTM data architectures, connecting tools, processes, and insights into cohesive frameworks that improve sales performance
- You combine strategic consulting expertise with execution leadership, balancing vision with hands-on delivery and adoption at scale
- You bring fluency in Salesforce, Aviso, and other analytics, planning, and productivity platforms, with the ability to design and integrate scalable solutions
- You leverage AI-driven analytics and predictive tools to turn insights into real-time, forward-looking actions that drive execution and revenue outcomes
- You are a collaborative communicator and trusted influencer, confident in engaging both executive leadership and frontline sales management to align priorities and deliver measurable impact

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $192,750 - $321,250
