Job Description

Contribute to the development and execution of risk-based audit plans across finance, technology, operations, strategic, and compliance areas. Lead and conduct in-field technology reviews to:

  • Assess IT controls for effectiveness, data integrity, and alignment with the company's operational and financial procedures.

  • Evaluate cybersecurity vulnerabilities, monitoring systems for potential threats, mismanagement, fraud, and inefficiencies.

Collaborate with audit teams and business stakeholders to identify control gaps and data integrity issues, recommending practical enhancements to internal controls and IT processes. Propose improvements to operational and financial procedures when compliance is inadequate, safeguarding company assets and maximizing resource utilization. Serve as a key liaison between Internal Audit and IT leadership to ensure timely remediation, clear accountability, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to IT audit examinations in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Standards.

  • Develop audit programs targeting identified risks, including network security, endpoint protection, and incident response.

  • Prepare detailed audit workpapers and maintain high documentation standards.

  • Evaluate cybersecurity controls, including the confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of data.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards (US GAAP, Brink's policies, and regulatory requirements) and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).

  • Supervise and train audit staff, providing daily oversight and feedback.

  • Recommend updates to financial and operational policies to address deficiencies or improve controls.

  • Conduct third-party and supply chain risk assessments.

  • Perform root cause analysis on audit findings and implement corrective actions.

  • Support administrative tasks such as audit selection, scheduling, cost control, and special initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems  Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree in IT, Cybersecurity or Business Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Auditing, Cybersecurity or related IT risks and compliance roles
  • CISA/CISM certification required.
  • Familiar with frameworks such as: COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS.
  • Ability to manage multiple audits or complex projects simultaneously
