Job Description:
The Shipping/Receiving Manager will be responsible for managing the day-today logistics for the Bookstore Shipping and Receiving Department. These responsibilities will include implementing and overseeing a system for the coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments, comparing pricing of transport in order to facilitate consistent savings, efficient utilization of warehouse and storage space to promote smooth transport of merchandise from warehouse to sales floor and ensuring efficient processing of all Shipping and Receiving Paperwork. Essential responsibilities in this role will include; UPS online systems operations, customer paperwork checks, vendor return checks and assuring shipping and receiving financial and loss prevention procedures are controlled. Serve as a active productive member of the Bookstore's management team and work to develop strong staff morale, especially amongst the shipping and receiving staff. Create and deliver annual staff reviews and goals and monitor and direct staff as needed.
Job Qualifications:
Proven management skills with at least two years experience preferred
High School diploma
Well organized and attention to detail
Ability to direct multiple functions and projects simultaneously
Full knowledge of POS technology and computerized inventory systems
Excellent leadership skills
Train for van driving
Qualified to operate inventory lift equipment
