The Urologist will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions of the male and female urinary tract, kidneys, uterus, urethra, urinary bladder, and the male reproductive system. The Urologist's practice would consist of inpatient/outpatient practice at all three hospitals. Surgeries will be at all three hospitals, which have a da Vinci Robot with the ability to perform minimally invasive and outpatient surgeries.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Examine, diagnose, and treat patient conditions and disorders of the genitourinary organs and tracts
- Perform minimally invasive and outpatient surgeries using robotics
- Document and review patient's history
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Use specialized equipment, such as X-rays, fluoroscopes, and catheters
- Perform abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries when necessary
- Treat lower urinary tract dysfunctions
- Prescribe and administer antibiotics, antiseptics, or compresses to treat infections or injuries
- Prescribe medications for patients with erectile dysfunction, infertility, or ejaculation problems
- Provide Urology consultations or refer patients to specialist
- Direct nurse, residents, or other staff
- Comfortable providing Urological service in both an inpatient and outpatient setting
- Stay abreast of the latest medical technologies
- Perform all and all other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified – Urology
- Medical degree and the successful completion of a residency and fellowship in Urology
- State license or (obtain NJ license) and certification to practice Urology
- Strong decision making, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience using eClinicalWorks and/or Meditech preferred
- Strong team working, leadership, and organizational abilities
- Open to Teaching: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and General Surgery Residencies on site
