The ERP Solution Architect serves as the strategic, functional, and technical authority over Charter Schools USA's enterprise financial systems ecosystem across Corporate and School subsidiaries. This role is responsible for the design, architecture, performance, integrity, security, and optimization of all Finance-related ERP platforms.

The Architect blends deep financial process expertise, advanced ERP solution design, business analysis, and enterprise integration strategy, while leading staff responsible for system administration, support, and enhancement delivery. The role manages SLAs, incident and change management, governance, integrations, and stakeholder relationships across the enterprise related to financial systems.

This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for ensuring CSUSA's financial systems portfolio effectively supports operational, regulatory, and strategic needs.

 

How You Will Impact Education

  • Provide enterprise-level architectural leadership for NetSuite Financials First (Corporate + Schools), NetSuite Planning & Budgeting, and related financial systems--defining roadmaps, standards, and long-term strategy.
  • Design scalable, efficient, and secure financial system architectures that support multi-company, multi-state operations.
  • Ensure seamless integration of financial workflows (AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, revenue, and reporting).
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of new modules, configurations, advanced capabilities, and automation opportunities.
  • Architect and oversee integrations between ERP and connected platforms, including Celigo, MySchoolBucks, RAS/ABC, GHG modules, and LINQ (NC).
  • Oversee system configuration, customization, and data governance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Maintain a recurring calendar for integration reviews, bundle updates, patching, and system health checks.
  • Optimize end-to-end data flow architecture, ensuring timeliness, quality, and integrity of financial data.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and enhancements with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Lead incident management, problem resolution, change management, and enhancement prioritization across the ERP portfolio.
  • Develop and monitor SLAs, ensuring high service quality, timely responses, and minimal business disruption.
  • Assess user needs through periodic onsite visits and virtual engagements to identify opportunities to optimize workflows.
  • Conduct enterprise-level requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design across Finance, Accounting, Budget, Procurement, and Operations.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements that increase automation, efficiency, accuracy, and user adoption.
  • Serve as the senior subject matter expert on financial system design, best practices, and architecture governance.
  • Lead incident management, root-cause analysis, change management, and enhancement prioritization across the ERP portfolio.
  • Develop and enforce architectural standards, documentation, configuration management, and release management practices.
  • Maintain system security, access governance, and compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
  • Oversee a recurring system health calendar, including bundle updates, patches, audits, and integration reviews.
  • Oversee design of dashboards, KPIs, and analytics within ERP and Planning & Budgeting systems.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to strengthen forecasting, budgeting, and financial visibility tools.
  • Direct, mentor, and develop ERP team members, including the Junior NetSuite Administrator and business applications staff.
  • Hire, onboard, evaluate, and manage team performance, including corrective action when necessary.
  • Set clear goals, develop staff skills, and support professional growth.
  • Provide architectural guidance, technical direction, and leadership on major initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Operations, and IT leadership to ensure system architecture aligns with business needs.
  • Communicate system changes, risks, and opportunities clearly and proactively to executives and stakeholders.
  • Conduct onsite visits as needed to assess user needs and system adoption.
  • Coordinate with the internal Service Desk and external vendors for support, enhancements, and escalations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience in a multi-system environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting operations, and budgeting.
  • Expertise with ERP systems--preferably NetSuite Financials First and NetSuite Planning & Budgeting.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms such as Celigo, or similar iPaaS tools.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, internal controls, and compliance standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience managing ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).
  • Experience in financial systems administration, integrations, business analysis, or related roles.
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience required.

Work Environment

While performing the responsibilities of this position, the work environment characteristics listed below are representative of the environment the employee will encounter:

  • Usual office working conditions with a hybrid schedule (after 90 days) in the Ft Lauderdale office.
  • Occasional travel as necessary for support to our staff and schools within Florida and in other states.
