As a Temporary Compensation Support Specialist, you will provide critical support during the annual merit and bonus cycle by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant compensation processing. This role helps maintain data integrity, supports business timelines, and enhances the overall efficiency of compensation operations.

 

How You Will Impact Education

  • Support end-to-end merit cycle processes, including data validation, upload preparation, and system audits.
  • Assist in bonus planning and payout processing, ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved guidelines.
  • Audit and reconcile compensation data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.
  • Review and validate employee compensation data (e.g., salary changes, bonus eligibility, prorations).
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and tracking tools to monitor progress and identify discrepancies, and escalate issues.
  • Provide support for compensation related inquiries from HR partners and managers during the merit cycle.
  • Assist with documentation of processes and updates for continuous improvement.
  • Provides guidance and support on referendum stipend procedures, including processing forms, validating eligibility criteria, and responding to internal inquiries.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  2. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data validation).
  3. High attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  6. Discretion in handling confidential employee data.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in compensation, HR operations, payroll, or related function.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Vantage (strongly preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data reconciliation).
  • Experience supporting merit cycles and/or bonus processing preferred.
  • Availability to work extended hours during peak compensation cycles (if needed).
