ANALYST FOREIGN EXCHANGE
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The FX Analyst plays a critical role in supporting all functions to drive success and growth of the Foreign Exchange (FX) Sales Desk. This role's primary function is to support Senior FX Advisors' efforts to manage portfolio clients, structure and execute trades and proactively seek new business opportunities through in-depth client discovery. Key responsibilities include report and presentation generation, market and client research, data mining and ad hoc projects. The FX Analyst will be expected to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of FX solutions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Provide support to Senior Advisors by preparing internal and external pitch and marketing materials
- Proactively conduct data analysis, generate basic hedging solution ideas, and assist in all required tasks for business development and a seamless client experience
- Quoting spot trades and conducting day-to-day trade execution and booking
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including trading, operations, compliance, and risk to ensure successful execution of transactions and regulatory adherence
- Develop relationships and interface with various departments to ensure that client issues and concerns are addressed and efficiently resolved
- Track and analyze key sales performance and other important metrics to help meet team goals
- Stay informed on and be able to communicate key economic and geopolitical developments as they pertain to market sentiment and trends
- Complete all special projects as requested by FX and Capital Markets senior leadership
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance, streamline and automate processes
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and risk management frameworks while maintaining operational excellence
- Maintain current knowledge of all bank products and services, analyze customer needs and cross-sells products to fit those needs
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year financial analysis experience
- Minimum 1 year banking or financial services industry experience
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Good understanding of fundamental FX products and financial market structure
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic, hands-on team
- Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment while maintaining integrity, accountability, accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively to balance daily tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that translate into presenting complex concepts in an easy to understand format for audiences with varying levels of product knowledge
- A results-driven and proactive mindset, with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $34.55 - $55.19 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
