The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Client Service Associate II utilizes intermediate skills obtained through experience and training to assist Financial Advisors and provide clients with quality service. The role involves following established procedures to perform routine tasks and receiving general guidance to handle a variety of non-routine tasks with limited decision-making responsibility. Regular interaction with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts and information.

The Responsibilities

  • Interact daily on the phone and in person with prospective and existing clients, including handling basic inquiries.
  • Research client and security information through the back-office system.
  • Process and follow up on client documentation for proper maintenance of accounts.
  • Prepare letters, forms, and spreadsheets to assist with servicing existing clients and prospecting for new clients.
  • Create and maintain records and files.
  • Ensure required client paperwork is current with firm and industry requirements, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain databases and create reports using portfolio software programs.
  • Assist Financial Advisors with marketing efforts, including seminars.
  • Receive and process securities.
  • Receive cross-training and assist with other operational functions as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the company's working structure, policies, mission, and strategies.
  • Understanding of general office practices, procedures, and methods.
  • Proficiency in operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Ability to analyze and research account information.
  • Skill in organizing, managing, and tracking multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in mathematics sufficient to process account and transaction information.
  • Ability to work independently and provide a high level of customer service.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) or more years of securities industry or related work experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training as approved by Human Resources.
  • No licenses or certifications are required for this role.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $18.52/hour - $24.70/hour
