COMMERCIAL BANKING PRODUCT SOLUTIONS SALES MANAGER WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This colleague will be responsible for managing and directing the Commercial Products and Deposit sales activities of the bank to assure profitability consistent with the objectives and strategies set forth by the division and the Bank. The Manager is to be a creative, solution-oriented thinker and leader defining Treasury Management Solutions strategy and executing all aspects of go-to-market activities for the division. This colleague will also be responsible for leading and implementing a best-in-class consultative sales culture focused on working capital, treasury process improvement and change management for enterprise banking technology solutions. Ensures that the Treasury Management Sales Officers, Working Capital Advisors and other members of the sales team work closely and effectively with other colleagues within and outside of Treasury Management (e.g., Product Managers, Relationship Managers, etc.) who are critical to the effective closing of new business opportunities. Deliver internal and external results through leadership, process, people, and technology to grow CNB's Commercial Products segment and Operational/Non-Operational Deposit base. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Develop and lead the overall go-to-market strategy for Treasury Management Solutions, partner with TMS leadership team to prioritize and execute on plans that create scale, drive growth and delight clients.
  • Manages the Treasury Management sales staff. Works to establish individual new business production goals to achieve the sales objectives of the division. Reviews goals versus actual results. Provides direct sales coaching on assessing needs, developing solutions and closing deals.
  • Interfaces with executive level management within the Bank as well as bank relationship managers, team leaders and business development officers on Treasury Management sales related issues, processes and activities.
  • Stays abreast on competitive trends, products and services and their impact on Treasury Management by attending industry conferences and marketing events.
  • Partner with RBC Canada and RBC US Capital Markets on Treasury Management joint offerings, platforms and go to market opportunities that enhance and are aligned to TMS' segment strategy.
  • Responsible and accountable for appropriate controls related to the sales processes employed and the incentives with which sales colleagues are awarded.
  • Design, implement and manage a consultative Treasury Management Solutions selling program for all Business and Commercial market segments, with clearly defined guidelines for proper discovery (bank agnostic) and recommendations for working capital solutions. Track and monitor progress. Recruit and develop sales making talent.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to develop comprehensive an ongoing training program for sales, reduce non-sales activities and ensure marketing and communications promote TMS thought leadership.
  • Responsible for monitoring, forecasting and reporting on pipeline, sales wins/losses and calling activity through Salesforce dashboards and reports.
    Attend regular client meetings with Sales Leaders and Individual Contributors to help coach and train colleagues. Develop relationships with top clients by revenue size.
  • Completes all special projects as requested.
  • Consistently collaborate with TMS Service and Delivery leadership to ensure our onboarding and support model optimizes the client experience.
  • Partner with Product Solutions to launch core product features and functionality required by CNB's Business and Commercial client base. Provide regular market feedback to Product Management on trends and demand, thus influencing the product roadmap.
  • Comply fully with all Bank Operational policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.). Complete all required training.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
  • Master's Degree
  • 15+ years in Senior Treasury Management Sales, which should include significant Treasury Management and Working Capital banking leadership experience in a rapid growth environment
  • 10+ years management experience
Additional Qualifications
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) Designation preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of working capital products and services.
  • Must possess an interpersonal style which enables the person to effectively interface with senior management including the CEO, clients and other colleagues; a communicator with an open, candid, clear and consistent style.
  • Ability to effectively partner with key constituents and recognized for being collaborative and a team player.
  • Proven ability to attract, build and develop a talented and creative team with sufficient knowledge, skills, experience, and positive work habits to drive successful delivery of the company's small business banking strategies.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in preparing and presenting information effectively, clearly, and concisely, in written and spoken form to a wide-range of internal and external constituencies, including executives, officers, product or service employees and clients.
  • Experience in budgeting as well as developing and tracking financial goals.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $195,995 - $364,003 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
