Are you a creative communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment? The City of Edmonton is looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our LRT Expansion and Renewal team. 

In this role, you will be a key player in bringing marketing and communications strategies to life, helping us connect with the community through meaningful storytelling and integrated campaigns. You will work alongside a collaborative team of experts to support projects that shape our city's infrastructure and services. If you have a passion for writing, digital content, event coordination, and interacting with diverse audiences we want to hear from you!

What will you do?

  • Assist with the implementation of integrated marketing communications elements and plans, including coordinating messaging for media and supporting senior staff with campaigns, events and publications
  • Draft and develop a variety of written content, such as news releases, web and digital content, newsletters and key messages
  • Coordinate and implement communications and public outreach events, and liaise with third-party vendors and partners
  • Provide support to external consultants and internal web and social media teams by developing social media posts and coordinating content for digital platforms
  • Gather technical information from clients and translate it into simple and effective marketing and communications products
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
