Description

The RMS Support Unit (RMSSU) of the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) requires One (1) self-motivated and organized individuals with exceptional analytical skills, knowledge and proficiency in leadership and supervision practices to lead a team of Information Auditors and Data Entry Unit clerks.

Key responsibilities of this position include:  

  • Providing leadership and mentoring for a team of Information Auditors and Data Entry Clerk; including the training, planning, prioritization, and coordination of work assignments. 
  • Setting performance goals, monitoring progress supervising performance management activities, and providing reports on all staff performances. 
  • Review, approve, and manage work schedules of staff, providing regular reports on staff availability. 
  • Creating a strong team environment, with a strong focus on providing customer service to the EPS and external policing partners. 
  • Establish and improve processes to enable successful recommendations of changes within RMS to meet specific unit and customer business needs; this includes participating in User Acceptance Testing. 
  • Oversee and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and deliver service wide training for new users in relation to the RMS. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Intelligence units and other stakeholders to review and ensure compliance of RMS data is maintained.   
  • Work collaboratively with the RMS Development Unit to build governance standards, procedures, and policy in relation to the RMS. 
  • Working with the Manager in the change management initiatives which support the overall transformation of the organization as it relates to the RMS. 
  • Conduct RMS audits for internal purposes and as required for court requests; end result may require attendance in court.
  • Administer and monitor access to confidential files by managing the Access Control List (ACL) within the RMS.
  • Work with the Information Auditors by providing guidance and expertise in order to correct complex information errors in the RMS by investigating, analyzing the data, and correcting issues. 
  • Work with the Continuing Education Unit to create training products and facilitate training sessions for new users to the RMS. 
  • Other duties as related.
