Description
Are you a Road Warrior? Oh, the places you'll go! Edmonton Public Library is searching for proactive, fun, agile and highly motivated Road Warriors (AKA Mobile Circulation Assistants) to work as part of a team of floating staff members. This is an exciting opportunity to provide much-needed coverage and support to branches where and when they need it most! If you enjoy variety and spontaneity in your work day, this is the role for you! About the Road Warrior Program: The Road Warrior Program addresses emergent vacancies by dispatching Road Warriors on short notice to one or more locations during a day. Road Warriors have a home branch location but will start their shifts at branches within their quadrant, when deployed on a weekly assignment. Shifts vary (i.e., will include some evenings and weekends), but Road Warriors each have a set schedule (reviewed annually). What we're looking for: At EPL our mission is simple: we share! Our Circulation Assistants are versatile and friendly people who want to make a difference in the community. Helping people is important to them - one minute, they will help a new Canadian find material to learn English, and the next they will help a customer download an eBook on their tablet. They focus on providing excellent customer service, and orient new and returning customers to EPL membership services. They open new memberships, resolve questions, complete circulation duties and handle library materials. They are tech-savvy, curious and eager to share what they know with others.
