Do you have a passion for teaching and inspiring others to dance?
The City Arts Centre is currently looking for enthusiastic Dance Instructors to teach child/youth dance classes. As an instructor, you must be confident and competent in your field and wish to share your skills. You will be required to plan, prepare and teach lessons to a variety of students with varying skill levels. If you have a passion and skill for dance and teaching, this is the job for you!
What will you do?
- Develop lesson plans that are skill level appropriate over 8 to 10 week classes
- Prepare classroom setting and supplies for each day or weekly class
- Facilitate and engage students of all ages in creative dance
- Create and deliver performing arts activities such as dance
- Actively engage in the safety, well-being, and development of students
- Maintain the highest level of health and safety standards at City Arts Centre and its outreach facilities
- Communicate regularly with coordinators and facility staff
- Attend seasonal in-services, mock emergency sessions and other training as necessary
- Perform other related duties as required
