1 temporary full-time position for 4 months intended specifically for students enrolled in an architectural technology/design, civil engineering technology, interior design, urban planning or related co-op or equivalent post-secondary work experience diploma program. Other education programs with a work experience component may also be considered. Commencing September 2026

This position will be working within the Integrated Infrastructure Services Department and support workspace planning - creating spaces that support the work of the Corporation.   

Responsibilities: 

• Aid with workspace assessments by completing project documentation and liaising with business partners
• Assist in stakeholder relations and functional program creation
• Assist with office furniture management by tracking furniture requests, preparing requests for quotations and attending site meetings
• Design support through space planning, interior design, and furniture layouts
• Assist with workspace booking system and requests for changes
• Assist with vendor and contract management

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an architectural technology/design, civil engineering technology, interior design, urban planning or related post secondary diploma co-op program. Other education programs with a work experience component may also be considered

Assets:

• Experience using Google Workspace applications or equivalent applications
• Demonstrated ability using AutoCAD and reading architectural plans
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license (or provincial equivalent)

• Ability to take measurements, record data, and take images to provide relevant visual reference for observations and data collected

Hours of Work: 33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. 
The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.

Salary Range: $21.388 - $23.528 (Hourly)
