Job Description

The ideal candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles and practices. 

  • Familiarity with adult education administration and student services. 

  • Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations related to Continuing Education & Business Development Programs. 

  • Become familiar with the Continuing Education & Business Development class/course catalog. 

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting techniques. 

  • Possess organizational and time management skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

  • Monitor and maintain DWEDCE@csn.edu by responding to emails and listening to voicemails. 

  • Daily phone duties to answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls from Continuing Education phone line. 

  • Support in registering students in-person, by phone, and/or by email following Continuing Education, Business Development, and Resilient for Nevada Grant. procedures. 

  • Ensure accurate data entry in Lumens/Modern Campus for record keeping and reports. 

  • Student-centered / listening / verbal communication / organizational skills. 

  • Aid in communication with students and instructors as needed. 

  • Create public classes and/or contract training specialized training in Lumens/Modern Campus. 

  • Support CCDT course preparation phase. 

  • Support in ETPL yearly renewals. 

  • DWED catalog preparation phase (emailing partners, colleagues, instructors, collecting course proposals and filing). 

  • Additional job duties as assigned. 

 

Starting Salary

 

$20.00 Hourly 

Note: 1000-Hour Appointment -Temporary hourly employees are limited to a maximum of 1,000 hours per calendar and fiscal year and must be terminated upon reaching the maximum hours, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
