Job Description

The Athletics Department is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Athletics Marketing Assistant to support the development and execution of marketing and communications initiatives for the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics. This position plays a key role in promoting CSN Coyotes athletics by enhancing brand visibility, engaging fans, and supporting department goals through creative storytelling and digital content.

The Athletics Marketing Assistant collaborates with athletics staff, coaches, and student-athletes to create meaningful connections with the CSN community and promote athletic programs across various platforms.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design original graphics for social media, including game-day promotions, roster and schedule announcements, score updates, player spotlights, and recruiting highlights

  • Photograph and/or coordinate photography coverage of athletic competitions and practice events for use across social media, the website, and print materials

  • Design and produce flyers, posters, programs, and other print materials for games, tournaments, camps, and department events

  • Manage day-to-day content calendars and posting schedules across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, and YouTube for the athletics department

  • Capture and edit short-form video content (reels, highlight clips, hype videos) for use on social platforms

  • Maintain consistent brand standards (Coyotes colors, logos, fonts) across all marketing materials

  • Collaborate with coaches and staff to gather content needs, statistics, and story angles for promotional pieces

  • Track social media engagement and provide basic reporting on growth and post performance

  • Support game-day operations as needed, including in-venue content capture and live social updates

  • Assist with other departmental marketing, communications, or administrative tasks as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): 

  • Strong eye for visual design, layout, and brand consistency

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, often around live game schedules

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with coaches, staff, and student-athletes

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently once given direction

  • Commitment to representing the department and student-athletes professionally and positively

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift and move materials exceeding 10 pounds as needed to support event setup, promotions, and job-related assignments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required

  • Previous experience in collegiate marketing or athletics operations preferred

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends to support athletic events, promotions, and fan engagement activities

  • Ability to travel locally throughout the Las Vegas Valley for athletic events and promotional appearances

SALARY:

  • $24,000.00 (10-month appointment)
