About the role

The Quality Control Specialist is the primary enforcer of the "Golden Standard" within the RDD National Practice. This role is responsible for ensuring that every project—regardless of geographic location—is executed with the same precision and technical integrity. You will oversee the implementation of In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) systems and digital checklists to eliminate "Style Drift" and ensure "First-Pass Yield" on all site handovers. Success in this role requires a "zero-defect" mindset, deep technical knowledge of hyperscale infrastructure, and the ability to conduct rigorous audits that turn field errors into opportunities for continuous improvement.

Annual compensation: $42,910 - $60,480 USD

What you'll be doing

  • Implement and manage In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) checkpoints throughout the 5-Phase Gated Framework to catch variances before they escalate.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of all active hyperscale sites to verify adherence rates to internal quality control protocols.
  • Compare actual site delivery against original Project Charters to identify quality gaps and ensure long-term outcome predictability.
  • Analyze recurring deployment defects to recommend updates to design standards or installation SOPs.
  • Identify, document, and track "punch list" items through, ensuring contractors remediate issues before final sign-off.
  • Embrace and support Computacenter's mission and core values.

What you have

  • A bachelor's degree in quality management, construction management, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) within the datacenter, large-scale construction or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Exceptional eye for detail and the ability to conduct rigorous, impartial inspections against a written standard.
  • Ability to read and interpret BIM models, Blueprints, CAD drawings, and Line Diagrams.
  • Mastery of digital quality auditing tools and the ability to digitize traditional "paper-and-pencil" inspection processes.
  • Ability to identify the root cause of rework and collaborate with "The Engine" to implement corrective actions.
  • Skill in delivering direct, constructive feedback to field personnel to ensure compliance without disrupting site velocity.
  • Absolute commitment to the 5-Phase Gated Framework, ensuring no project skips critical quality gates.
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team that includes all levels of the organization.
  • Some travel required.
