Description

Cook Children's Health Care System

Outstanding Pediatric Otolaryngology Opening

On behalf of the Cook Children's Health Care System (CCHCS) located in Ft. Worth, Texas, CareerPhysician, the national leader in child health faculty and leadership recruitment, is pleased to announce a national search for a Pediatric Otolaryngologist to join the well-resourced and rapidly growing Department of Pediatric Otolaryngology. The explosive population growth of West and North Texas has led the practice into a phase of expansion that will encompass the addition of key clinical programs and additional surgical faculty.

Opportunity to practice a broad spectrum of Pediatric Otolaryngology in a tertiary care setting with a balanced practice/lifestyle with 1 in 7 call, evening call supported by an ENT RN and no facial trauma call. Supported by 6 advanced practice providers, 2 of whom are dedicated to inpatient service. Large catchment area including West Texas provides significant diversity of pathology.

Key Opportunity Highlights:

  • Seeking candidates, including 2024 & 2025 fellows, with interest in joining a thriving Pediatric Otolaryngology surgical practice. Opportunities for a comprehensive surgical practice as well as the ability to develop/expand upon multidisciplinary subspecialty programs according to your interests. While not a required niche, a specific area for growth available is open airway reconstruction.
  • Look forward to a culture that does not relegate physicians to treating only 1 or 2 aspects of Pediatric Otolaryngology. All physicians are welcome to pursue all aspects of ENT that are of interest to them.
  • Qualified candidates may participate in the fellow's retention program that will provide a monthly stipend of $2,500 from the time a contract is signed through the start of practice with Cook Children's.
  • Opportunities available, but not required, to teach medical students and residents as well as pursue clinical research with support including campus IRB, grant writing, research nurses, and a dedicated PhD statistician.
  • The CCHCS recently ranked number one on the Forbes' 2024 list of "America's Best Large Employers" in the “Health Care and Social Services” industry category.
  • Highly competitive compensation and benefits package, no state income tax, and a strong economy in one of the fastest growing areas of the United States.
