Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem
Hillsboro Area Hospital

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Staff Pharmacist at Hillsboro Hospital, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.  

Schedule:  This per diem, nonexempt position will provide predominantly weekend coverage as needed up to 19 hours/week and/or a minimum of 4 hours/month.  There are no regularly scheduled hours for this position. There is a possibility of on call based on availability.

Pay Range: $55-$65/hr based on experience

About the Pharmacy:  Pharmacy hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm and Saturday & Sunday from 8:30am-4:30pm.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Current IL license in good standing
  • At least 1 year working as a Pharmacist, will train if no hospital experience
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff
