A Day in the Life of a Nursing Assistant - Crosby Clinic (NA/NAR/CNA) In this role, Nursing Assistants support physicians and nurses by facilitating smooth clinic operations through tasks such as rooming patients, performing basic assessments like measuring vitals, and managing patient transportation needs. The work environment is fast-paced and requires handling direct patient care with proficiency in using medical equipment like BP cuffs and EKG machines. Challenges include maintaining high standards of patient privacy and executing multiple tasks efficiently under time constraints. Collaboration is central, involving regular communication with healthcare providers to ensure patient concerns are addressed swiftly and accurately. The position also includes responsibilities like stocking clinic supplies and ensuring the cleanliness of exam rooms. Qualifications
Education and Experience Required
- High School diploma or GED -OR- on the MN Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire
- One year experience providing hands on patient care
- American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
