A Day in the Life of a Patient Financial Services Manager

The Patient Financial Services Manager oversees all aspects of billing and payment operations within our healthcare system to ensure efficiency, adherence to standards, and alignment with organizational goals. This role involves rigorous management of administrative processes, including maintaining office equipment and supervising office supplies, while enforcing facility policies. The manager leads a team consisting of financial advisors, data analysts, and other billing staff, fostering a cooperative environment to enhance overall team performance and productivity. Financial oversight is critical, with tasks ranging from managing budgets to monitoring accounts receivable and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Furthermore, this manager ensures compliance with regulatory standards and plays a key role in client relations, effectively handling inquiries and resolving issues to maintain professional relationships.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Office Management or related field -OR- three years of experience in a healthcare Business Office
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and accounting software
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Office Management or related field
Compensation and Benefits The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual's experience level, preferred education/certifications, along with market conditions.
