This exciting Cloud Engineer leadership role will focus on problems we encounter, where the focus, charter, and technologies will change frequently. The resources available to you are direct architect reports but will also draw on the larger company enterprise pool for resources including architects, data specialists, designers, and much more. Cloud platform development is important and will be essential to the success of this individuals.
You will be a ‘doer' and leader at the same time with expectations that you are still a practicing technologist who is happy to jump in where needed as a peer and continuously plan for altering charters. A servant based leadership style with good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and growing openness is imperative. In addition, intake of work will be highly dynamic; requiring strong planning and communication skills.

Additional responsibilities include:

•Plan for forensic ‘egress.' Work products are encouraged to be usable by their consuming groups or sponsors – this could vary with development practices, standards, and technologies.
•Engaging with the team and collaborating with the larger organization on how to participate and demonstrate Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
•Guide the development team on how to get the most of self-organization and advise the larger Office of the CTO on problem-solving outcomes.
•Partner to assess the technical health of various applications and solutions within the portfolio.
•Build an unquestioning and safe environment where problems can be raised without consequence.
•Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.

Required Qualifications
-Minimum 12 years' overall experience in a technology leadership role and with core product development or service delivery.
-Experience with industry and various IT technology required.
-Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for addressing complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications
-Experience with software development, big data analytics, or AI / ML / cognitive voice skills.
-Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
-Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
-Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Bachelors Degree required.
