As a Cart Driver, you'll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors by providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation that supports resident independence, engagement, and quality of life every single day.

Your Role:

As the Cart Driver, you are responsible for transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and community outings while delivering exceptional service. You help ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout each trip.

Position Highlights:

  • Status: PART TIME
  • Schedule: Saturday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM & Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Location: 1000 Aston Gardens Dr., Venice, FL 34292
  • Rate of Pay: HOURLY

What You'll Do

  • Safely transport residents throughout our community using a golf cart.
  • Assist residents traveling between apartment buildings, dining venues, activities, appointments, and community amenities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive experience for residents and their families.
  • Assist residents entering and exiting the golf cart safely.
  • Deliver meals to residents who have chosen in-room dining.
  • Conduct basic daily inspections of the golf cart and report any maintenance concerns.
  • Keep carts clean, charged, and in good operating condition.
  • Communicate with residents and team members regarding transportation requests.
  • Follow all community safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to assist residents with walkers, canes, and other mobility devices.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to meet applicable transportation and safety requirements.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or transportation role preferred; senior living experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with leadership and team members.
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility devices.
  • Ability to lift or support wheelchairs and mobility aids.
  • Ability to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions, traffic, and emergency situations.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules tied to resident activities.
  • Meets any federal, state, or local requirements applicable to transportation roles, as required by the community.
