Description
Has overall responsibility for monitoring, analyzing, and improving sales and inventory forecasts to support sales and inventory goals for assigned categories. Collaborates with Global Inventory, Merchandise Planning, and Merchandising teams to develop and execute items, store, and distribution center forecasts. Provides subject matter expertise in the design, development, and continuous improvement of demand planning systems and processes.
Job Responsibility
• Collaborates with Global Inventory partners to define and execute forecast strategies for assigned categories. (30%)
• Manages and monitors seasonal trends and incorporates insights into forecasting assumptions and models. (20%)
• Manages and monitors macro promotional activity and key business events and assesses impact on demand forecasts. (15%)
• Supports new store openings and new item introductions as well as discontinued item forecasting processes. (5%)
• Monitors execution of the forecasting system, including macro-level system alerts and exceptions. (5%)
• Provides subject matter expertise, training, and ongoing support to the Demand Chain team. (15%)
• Supports vendor collaboration efforts by providing and reviewing forecast data. (5%)
• Prepares and delivers key performance indicators (KPI) reporting to internal business partners. (5%)

Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, or related field required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, and/or demand planning required.
• Knowledge of demand forecasting and planning systems preferred.
• Working knowledge of forecasting methodologies is preferred.
• Aldata G.O.L.D. system knowledge preferred.
