Job Details:

DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for creating and executing detailed test plans, encompassing feature, integration, regression, certification and system level testing as well as release validation in production; responsible for testing and certification of software applications and supporting infrastructure; write manual and automation test scripts and perform manual and automation test execution; participate in manual, automation testing and test data strategy development; test results analysis and documentation; defect reporting and resolution; participate in Agile Methodology, Scaled Agile, and Scrum ceremonies; perform requirements analysis, manual and automation test script creation/execution, test analysis, defect logging and document test results; collaborate with Quality Engineer leads to implement manual testing and test automation frameworks; participate in code reviews, work estimation, forecasting and release scheduling; responsible for understanding internal and external requirements for systems being validated; participate in project planning and Agile ceremonies; identify, adapt and promote new testing methodologies, architectures, best practices and tools to improve test coverage; and effectively share technical information, and communicate technical issues and solutions to Quality Engineer leads and managers.

Qualifications & Minimum Requirements

 

  • May work remotely 1 day per week from a home office but must live within normal commuting distance of the Goodlettsville, TN office.
  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or related IT or Engineering field
  • Five (5) years of experience using different types of manual and automation testing techniques and with requirements analysis, test design, test execution, results analysis, and reporting
  • Position also requires experience with the following:
    1. Working on Java-based automation frameworks using Java, J2EE technologies such as Spring, Struts, Hibernate and JSP, and designing and building tools/utilities;
    2. API, Web UI, and desktop applications testing;
  • Experience in test automation tools such as Rest Assured, Selenium, TestNG, Junit, or Cucumber;
  1. Knowledge of JavaScript-based Web UI automation frameworks such as Cyprus or Testcafe;
  2. Experience with any scripting language, such as Java, Java Script, or Python;
  3. Experience in relational data store solutions such as Oracle, MySQL, DB2 and NoSQL data stores such as Cassandra or Elasticsearch;
  • Experience with Agile management tools such as Jira and collaboration tools such as Confluence;
  • Experience with Maven, Ant, Gradle Build tools and source control tools such as GITLab;
  1. Knowledge of Behavior Driven, Data Driven, Keyword Driven, and Hybrid test automation frameworks;
  2. Experience/knowledge of mocking frameworks such as WIreMock or Hoverfly;
  3. Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Deployment Pipeline (CI/CD) flow; and

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
