Job Details:

General Summary

Responsible for completing assigned journal entries and reconciliations.  Liaison between financial reporting and the business in accrual accounting matters

 

Duties & Responsibilites

  • Utilizes GAAP accounting knowledge to record month-end related journal entries including accruals and tracking prepaid expenses adhering to accounting policies and principles
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts and reports
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and/or presentations
  • Provide necessary documentation to internal and external auditors
  • Collaborate and instruct other departments regarding accrual accounting
  • Participate in variance analysis by researching the variances and providing the conclusion(s) to management
  • Contribute to process improvement to enhance the efficiency of the accounting/reporting operations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High-level of organization and ability to prioritize assignments
  • Ability to work independent and collaboratively as a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Access and Excel including: vlookups and pivot tables
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information
Qualifications:

Work Experience &/or Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. 0-3 years of experience.
