General Summary:

Leads and manages end-to-end operational initiatives that advance Store Operations priorities, with a primary focus on successful WIC program rollout and ongoing execution. Drives operational excellence by strengthening financial performance, ensuring compliance, and improving the customer experience through cross-functional partnership and effective in-store implementation. Applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities, diagnose issues, and design solutions that enable consistent, high-quality execution across the store network.

Job Details:

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Program Implementation & Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

  • Translate strategy into operational plans, processes, and store-facing actions.
  • Serve as the operational SME for the WIC program rollout and ongoing execution.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Government Relations, Merchandising, IT, and Learning & Development to define requirements, align on operational impacts, and ensure each function provides the support needed for successful store execution.

Store Readiness, Communication & Operational Support:

  • Own executional readiness for stores, including communication, documentation, tasking, and field support.
  • Ensure stores understand and can execute new WIC processes, system changes, eligibility criteria, and operational workflows.
  • Manage SNAP/EBT waiver execution, including communications, store instructions, and operational readiness for customer-facing impacts.
  • Monitor operational performance and support field leaders in issue resolution.

Training, Compliance Support & Continuous Improvement:

  • Partner with Learning & Development to build required training, annual recertification materials, and ongoing content updates.
  • Collect feedback from stores and cross-functional teams to continually refine processes, improve clarity, and remove friction.
  • Identify operational improvements based on compliance findings, field input, and performance data.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

Must be able to:

  • Quickly identify potential drivers of emerging problems.
  • Develop creative and financial-changing solutions to identified problems.
  • Create and lead group problem solving discussions and executive presentations.
  • Design and execute testing regimes to validate potential solutions.
  • Design and execute appropriate analyses to size potential impact of problems or solutions (i.e., development of financial models and/or sensitivity scenarios).
  • Create and execute an implementation plan for rollout to network.
  • Create and craft communication leading to successful project outcomes.
  • Lead multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and lead presentations to various levels of management.

· Prioritize projects based upon solution impact, time to implement and/or direction from leadership:

  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Ability to partner, coordinate and delegate to all levels of management.
  • Strong ability to influence without direct authority, leading to successful project outcomes.
  • Proven track record of producing results and meeting or exceeding financial goals and objectives.
Qualifications:

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.
  • Master's in Business Administration or appropriate advanced degree preferred.
  • 6-8 years of related work experience required.
  • Retail experience highly preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
