Brachytherapy Dosimetrists provide clinical and application support for Elekta brachytherapy customers and prospects through responsive telephone and web-based support, in-house training, and onsite customer training. This role also assists our sales and marketing teams by conducting product demonstrations, attending conferences, symposiums and trade shows.  The Brachytherapy Dosimetrist also supports our product managers and development teams on new products and releases by providing clinical and customer input, as well as our global education and training teams in developing and delivering training course materials. This position is home based with travel to customer sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers/prospects in a professional, timely manner while providing support and training

  • Assist in the development of training programs and materials for customers and employees

  • Conduct in-house and on-site training for brachytherapy and related products

  • Provide product demonstrations in-house, on-site, and at marketing events

  • Provide technical assistance and clinical advice to the engineering department for escalated issues, and support verification testing as required

  • Provide some computer and network system administration support

  • Perform software/hardware installations, upgrades, and provide product licenses according to established protocols

  • Follow procedures to capture and document all support activities with customers in line with Elekta regulatory protocols

  • Acts as Dosimetrist representative for various committees as directed

  • Perform functional work for related departments in areas where a work overload exists

  • Establish knowledge of the department in its environment as it fits within the company and how the department interfaces with customers

  • Incorporate Elekta Values into all departmental functions and responsibilities

What you bring 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Employees must be able to read, speak, write and comprehend the English language.

  • English fluency necessary

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred

  • RTT designation desirable

  • Certified Medical Dosimetrist preferred

  • One (1) to two (2) years clinical or equivalent experience necessary. Five (5) or more years of Brachytherapy experience preferred

  • Experience in HDR or LDR Prostate Brachytherapy desirable

  • Experience in computer hardware, networking, and knowledge of Windows OS desirable

  • Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision

  • Excellent people skills and troubleshooting capability is required

  • Must have a valid passport and able to travel up to 80% of the time.

The US base salary range for this position is $103,136- 128,920
