Englewood Health, an award winning community teaching hospital, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to work in their Maternal Child Health department.   

 

This incredible opportunity will provide the ideal candidate the opportunity to work among New Jersey's best to provide exceptional patient care in their Community Perinatal-Intensive Maternal Child Health Division.  

 

The Advanced Practice Nurse for Maternal/Child Health assists in all aspects of care as they relate to the patient in the Maternal Child Health field including support of the antepartum and post partum patient/family, care of the newborn and patients in the NICU, and providing support and education for the nursing staff in all areas of Maternal Child Health.  This candidate would work with the team to maintain high standards through the development of policies, procedures and protocols, and by performing tasks involving patient care and related unit activities.

 

The Advance Practice Nurse role includes education, research and consultation. The Advance Practice Nurse is involved in indirect practice activities with the goal of improving the quality of care across the continuum of care.

 

Job Essentials:
 

  • 1-2 years of experience working as a Women's Health Practitioner required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to prioritize and strong attention to detail required
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams
  • Knowledgeable in the development of policies, procedures and protocols
  • Maintains current knowledge base with NJ and National Best Practices
  • Assist with training new staff
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast paced environment
  • Screen, diagnose and treat patients; working under a supervising physician
  • Perform procedures as indicated after appropriate training


Education/License/Certification/Registry:  Nurse Practitioner (APRN):

  • Master's Degree required
  • Current NJ State Advanced Practice Nurse License
  • Current BLS and ACLS
  • Current Fetal Monitoring Certification
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Instructor preferred
  • Current CDS license
  • Current DEA license
  • Clinical Specialist
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certified
  • Prior proven experience and expertise in clinical area relevant to particular patient population {minimum 2years' clinical work)
  • Maintains membership in National Professional Organizations (AWHONN)

***COVID Vaccination Requirement***
