Job Summary:
EKG Cardiac technologist will also performs professional and technical duties involved in the electrocardiography department such as:  EKGs as needed on patients of all ages, technical hook up for Holter monitors, technical hook up of Ambulatory Blood Pressure monitors, technical hook up of Live Event monitors. Ultilizes various software related to EKGs, Holters, Ambulatory BP and Live Event monitors, and electronic medical record system , (EMR).  Technologist will respond to Rapid response and Code Blue calls. EKGs are performed on inpatients at the bedside in patient rooms, ICUs, Cath Lab, OR and other areas as well as outpatients. Technologists will provide timely support to the cardiac surgery team.

 Job Essentials:

  • Certified EKG Technician
  • A  minimum of one year recent experience preferred

 

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum formal education of HS Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred
  • EKG training and certification

 

 

 License/Certification/Registry:

  • EKG Certification
  • BLS Certification (issued by AHA or ARC)

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
