Job Summary:
Billing and Coding Specialist interacts daily with internal and external clients, including surgeons, physicians and advanced practitioners; provides primary diagnosis and procedural coding for surgeries and other procedures to ensure maximum reimbursement; reconciles all surgical cases performed; focuses on physicians' chart abstraction, serving as an on-site liaison to providers for clarification of documentation improvement and coding optimization for compliance and revenue management purposes utilizing documentation for CPT and ICD-10-CM respectively.

Job Essentials: 3 years Surgical Coding/Outpatient Professional Coding experience. Coding for physicians. Must be available to go to the office up to 3 days per week. Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Effective communicator, must be able to communicate with physicians. ICD coding and CPT coding.
Education Requirements: HS diploma/GED required. Associate's degree preferred.
License/Certification/Registry: CPC required
Englewood Health provides a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
