Description

ENSCO is seeking technicians skilled in conducting preventative maintenance and repairs to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing, building electrical systems, and general cabinetry. The position will require conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with all engineering and performance requirements relevant to building systems. The successful candidate must be able to understand and support the installation of new building systems.

TTC has a 9/80 work schedule consisting of a total of eight nine-hour days, one eight-hour day, and one day off spread over a two-workweek timeframe. Employees work 80 hours over nine days rather than the usual 10 days, allowing for every other Friday to be an off from work Friday.

Job responsibilities will include:
Monitoring, maintenance, inspection, and performance of standard repairs to building electrical systems, such as fixtures, switches, photocells, and outlets; assisting licensed electricians with repairs as appropriate. 

Monitoring, maintenance, and inspection of HVAC systems; performance of standard repair/replacement of components, as appropriate, and non-technical maintenance tasks such as cleaning of heating and cooling fan coil units and adjustment of system controls; assisting licensed HVAC repair technicians with repairs as appropriate. 

Monitoring, maintenance, and inspection of plumbing systems, to include standard repair of leaking fixtures, cleaning obstructed waste lines, installing water coolers, non-technical modifications to plumbing and water supply systems; assisting licensed plumbers as appropriate. 

Performing carpentry maintenance tasks including routine sheetrock/drywall installation and/or repair, window replacement, cabinet and countertop replacement, painting interior and exterior finishes, and door and hardware installation.

Miscellaneous metal fabrication.

Creating and updating accurate maintenance records and other documentation of work performed in a timely manner. 

Duties associated with special events, including executing the set-up and breakdown plans in a timely manner.

Working with purchasing personnel and systems to order parts and supplies. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. 

Snow removal as requested. 

Other job-related duties as assigned. 
 

Qualifications

  • Trade school or similar industrial training.
  • Skilled in the use of computers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in building maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of major trades such as carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, facilities and grounds.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to understand and support the installation of new building systems.
  • Ability to safely climb a 15-foot high ladder.
  • Ability to carry loads up to 25 lbs. 
  • Ability to read and update maintenance records with work performed.
  • Strong organizational, follow through and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast pasted environment.
  • Ability to observe all safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus for the entirety of the shift. 
  • Ability to build professional and courteous relationships with your colleagues and supervisors. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse interdisciplinary team. Railroad regulations require that the selected candidate must pass an e-RAILSAFE security background check and online safety tests to work on railroad properties. 
  • Wearing safety equipment (hardhat, steel-toe boots, protective vest, and protective eyeglasses) when working on railroad properties is also a requirement. ENSCO will provide all necessary safety equipment.
