Description

ENSCO, Inc. is seeking a Scientific Data Analyst with direct experience in analytics regarding time series data sets. The successful candidate must be able to understand waveform propagation and be able to apply it to conduct analysis of data sets. As well as a demonstrated understanding of digital signal processing, mathematics and in-depth knowledge of time series analytical expertise is required.

ENSCO's Mission System Group (MSG) Division provides innovative customized products and services vital to national safety and security.  A primary focus area is the development of software systems for multipurpose geophysical and other data collection, processing, and analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience working with large disparate data sets
• Experience Identifying long-term and short-term patterns of life
• Experience with data fusion analysis
• Experience with Magnitude, Distance, Amplitude Correction (MDAC) methodology
• Familiar with spatio-temporal analysis
• Familiar with workflow in an operational environment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a 9S100 seismic analyst in the United States Air Force.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience in the following:
o Demonstrated experience in seismic and/or acoustic waveform analysis and experience using seismic and/or acoustic analysis software such as ARS (Analyst Review Station), Geotool/Seatools, SAC (Seismic Analysis Code)
o Detailed understanding of local, regional, and teleseismic seismic phenomenology
o Understanding of digital signal processing including spectral analysis
o Observational ability to interpret time series waveform data, identify seismic, infrasonic, and hydroacoustic phases, distinguish signals from background noise
•    A self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills
•    Experience navigating within the Linux environment
•    Experience running programs in python, Matlab, or other scientific software
•    Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•    AN ACTIVE DOD TS/SCI CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
