The Senior Coordinator, NGL Quality Assurance reports to the Superintendent, Quality Assurance and is responsible for overseeing product quality for a pipeline and terminal system transporting Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) including Y-grade, E/P mix, Propane, Butane, and Natural Gasoline, and petrochemical products including ethylene and propylene. The position will be based out of the Corporate Office in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage product quality program elements including:
- Policies, procedures, processes for sampling and testing NGL/petchem samples
- Interpretation of test results
- Field audits of Enterprise and third-party locations
- Interpretation of product specifications
- Coordinate product blending and pipeline operations that impact product quality
- Provide subject matter expertise for test methods and techniques including training, troubleshooting problems, instrument calibration and routine maintenance
- Ensure compliance with product quality, environmental and personnel exposure guidelines
- Support the resolution of product quality issues and the Quality Incident reporting system
- Function as the point of contact for:
- Customer analytical concerns, retained sample testing, and analytical dispute resolution
- Pipeline system analytical equipment issues and concerns
- Support the specification of new analytical equipment for purchase, including both benchtop and online analyzers
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Natural Science or Engineering, or commensurate work experience, is required
- 7-15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry is required
- Experience with NGLs and petrochemical products is required
- Experience and knowledge of NGL and petrochemical testing is required
- Extensive gas chromatograph experience is required including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and maintenance
- Experience with volatile sulfur and vapor pressure instrumentation is preferred
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems, analytical calculations and data storage software is preferred
- Negotiating, influence management, and customer service skills are required
- Must be results oriented and possess excellent communication skills
- Computer skills including the use of Microsoft applications Word, Excel, and Power Point is required
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time is required
