JOB SUMMARY:

Assistant Account Executives (AAE) provide high-quality service to our clients.  They work closely with AE's to ensure satisfaction by balancing the quality of service and speed of response.    It is a collaborative effort with a focus toward providing the highest level of service to clients and anticipating their needs.  The role is both client and market facing.  There are specific duties assigned to the AAE for which they will be responsible.  There will also be other projects and tasks that the AAE will work on with the AE.  Opportunity for eventual growth into AE role managing relationship and handling all aspects of accounts independently.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

This role is responsible for, although not limited to, the following job duties:

 

  • Assisting the AE with marketing of renewals and new business.  Performing functions related to the account life cycle: pre-renewal, renewal, post renewal, stewardship and visiting client as needed. 
  • Submission and Proposals – assistance with preparing submissions for market, loss summaries, coverage comparisons, loss projections, cost comparisons and renewal proposals and presentations.
  • Performing Post Binding Activities; including confirmation of coverage to client, invoicing through account receivable collection, file management in network drives and ImageRight, surplus lines filings, updating historical exposure exhibits, updating Summary of Insurance & Dashboard and checking policies for accuracy upon receipt.  Although the TA's will prepare the Certificates of Insurance and Auto ID Cards, the AAE may need to assist when necessary.
  • Managing day to day account transactions as needed.  Some areas inlcude;  mail retrieval from Insurer websites & ImageRight, fielding client & insurer inquiries, requesting/following up/tracking endorsement changes, invoicing endorsements & policy audits, maintaining open items listing, updating & tracking Rolling SOV's and coordinating with Accounting Department on billing and any issues.
  • Helping maintain various corporate documents on Galway account  –  including Schedule of Policies for Dashboard, Summaries of Insurance, historical exposure exhibits, endorsement tracking, acquisition thresholds etc.
  • Working with Galway RM and Team relating to insurance due diligence for acquisitions and projects.
  • Working with EPIC team members at all levels to ensure client satisfaction. Pro-actively addressing client issues whenever Immediately addressing matters impacting customer satisfaction as they arise.
  • Developing client and underwriter relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years brokerage experience preferable
  • General knowledge of General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Automobile, Property, Crime, Inland Marine, and Professional Liability and mangement related lines of business.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills including MS office suite, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience on Vision or Applied systems preferred.   Experience with Sagitta System is a plus.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree in Insurance or related field preferred
  • New Jersey or New York P&C license
