Job Description

Eze Software is seeking an experienced, motivated Software Engineer in Test to join the Eze Market Data team at our Boston headquarters. Eze Software is a leading global provider of best-in-breed software solutions and technology services designed to maximize investment and operational alpha for the entire institutional investment process and community. About the Team:

SS&C Eze Market Data is an industry-leading solution and high-quality source for market information available across the SS&C Eze product suite, including global securities and commodity quotes, derivatives, fundamental data, indices, research, news, and other information that is provided by exchanges, and other third-party information providers. As a Software Engineer in Test, you will help drive automation and quality practices within a specific scrum team to ensure our product is held to the highest standards before being placed in front of clients. We work in a fast-paced, continuous integration, continuous delivery ecosystem, so the challenges of thorough, independent and reliable automation create interesting problems that we aim to solve with cutting edge, open-source technology. 

Day to Day:

  • Play a major role to improve quality, functionality, reliability and usability of software products  
  • Help contribute to the automation roadmap and improve testing efficiency by writing automation tests
  • Work closely with other SEITs to develop a holistic automation strategy at the integration level 
  • Analyze business requirements and work alongside engineering to develop and execute comprehensive test plans with systematic QA methodology 
  • Learn quality and coding best practices and standards, and train teams on best quality practices 
  • Ensure that the scrum teams are adhering to AGILE development in terms of Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, etc. by enforcing quality goals 

Minimum Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a major or minor in Computer Science or similarly technical/quantitative field; equivalent work or project experience
  • 1-3 years' experience with software/automation development (C# (.NET Core), C++, JavaScript, Python, or Go preferred)
  • Experience in working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Career minded, logical-thinking individuals who are not afraid of challenges. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven passion and interest in technology
  • Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience working in Financial Technology Industry
  • Experience with test automation and working in an AGILE/scrum environment
  • Solid knowledge of HTTP Protocol and Rest API
  • Experience with developing and/or testing real-time application
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket)
