Job Description

The Solution Manager will be based in Pune. The Solution Manager plays a liaison role between Business and Software Development team to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate business requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. This role also leads a team of Business analysts, and responsible and accountable for overall Business Analysis team. Collaborating closely with IT resources, Project Managers, and business resources, the Intermediate BA collects and translates business requirements into documentation and conceptual design, from which applications and solutions are developed.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do…

  • Understands and is competent in full range of techniques for eliciting business requirements, and demonstrates ability to select and utilize most effective approach for each requirements gathering assignment
  • Recognizes and effectively engages all stakeholder groups necessary for successful requirements gathering
  • Facilitates cross-functional business requirement gathering sessions
  • Acts like a consultant in guiding the business groups by helping them understand the software applications, SDLC and change management process.
  • Prepares written Business Requirements Document (BRD) that conforms to department standards, that encompass regulatory, business, user, functional and non-functional requirements as appropriate
  • Accurately defines dependencies, constraints, assumptions and risks
  • Contributes to the creation and adoption of a Business Process Framework that supports a business-centric approach to business process analysis and continuous improvement
  • Leads and conducts functional testing of the applications to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Lead and Manage Business Analysts by working closely with Project Manager, Project Owner, & IT Lead to define scope, identify IT Services required & manage Solution Manager deliverables
  • Contribute to development plans and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Coach and mentor employees while focusing on continuous performance improvement
  • Assist in enforcement of project scope, identifying and escalating change requests to Project Manager and/or Solution Manager Lead
  • Regularly communicates progress and status of Solution Manager deliverables to Project Manager, identifying impacts to project deadlines and schedules
  • Supports the development of greater understanding and expertise of business functional areas within the business analysis team, by ensuring the business rules and functions of assigned business units are well understood and represented within the team.

  • Should be strong in Business process and should have exposure in CRM / ERP Applicarion

Here is some of what you'll need (required)…

  • 7 to 10 years' experience as Solution Manager or in leading the BA team with demonstrated business analysis experience
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in ERP, CRM or Supply Chain Management along with at least four to six years if End-to-End IT systems implementations exposure where the candidate was part of the IT project as Business SME or Process Specialist or Solution Manager.
  • Four to six years of experience in software development, including minimum two years in managing delivery and project management
  • Hands on experience in working with a large geographically distributed team
  • Understanding of development methodologies (including Agile methodologies such as Scrum, extreme, DSDM etc) and experience in one of the Agile methodologies preferably in SCRUM.
  • Experience as Solution Manager in at least one CRM implementations.
  • Proven communication skills in presenting, moderating the meetings with large experience professionals (customers).
  • Proven effectiveness in facilitation of medium to large cross-functional groups
  • Expert level experience with business requirements gathering techniques and analysis
  • Working knowledge of Visio, ARIS or other modelling tools desirable
  • Ability to travel on short-term assignments as required
  • May be required to work outside normal business hours to meet project deadlines or support implementations
