The Operations Management Co-Op will be based in Ottawa, Canada. The coop will work on challenging projects in support of real-time business issues, to develop skills and experiences.

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do…

  • Provide global leadership in design as part of Flex's ability to provide end-to-end solutions
  • Participate in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce, for tracking opportunities and quotes
  • Gather data from various software and generate reports to yield useful metrics and analytic findings
  • Be heavily involved in invoicing activities and ensuring accuracy as well as validating billing requests
  • Assist in customer set up and credit checks
  • Contract management and customer PO tracking, billing, and registering
  • Assist Project Managers with project financial tracking, cost analysis and effort analysis.
  • Organize process implementation and rollouts
  • Lead the creative initiative behind our employee self-service portal for common requests (create look and feel of portal, conceptualize and design with employee experience in mind)
  • Help update and create Canadian specific HR policies, templates and forms, interview procedures and training
  • Build engineer and location specific marketing materials/bios/profiles
  • Review and optimize new employee on-boarding experience
  • Gain experience in sourcing/recruitment activities, local employer brand presence/awareness, and training plans and other employee development initiatives
  • Explore your own passion driven projects or interests during down time

Here is some of what you'll need (required)…

  • Current enrollment in a post-secondary business/management/human resources/marketing program or related
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Strong Excel skills recommended)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to intensively collaborate
  • Strong organizational skills and time management
  • Ability to tackle a variety of different projects or tasks within a short time frame
  • Tenacious commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
  • An appetite for learning and a relentless drive to win
  • Ability to establish priorities and work without supervision
  • Excellent presentation skills to create a compelling and useful employee self-service portal
  • Strong marketing/sales viewpoint
