Job Description

The Automotive Functional Safety Engineer will be based in Shanghai, to:

  • Develop Flex safety solution to meet existing safety regulations, and furthermore, to have ability to extent to cover foreseeable new safety regulations.
  • Support Flex automotive products development to ensure our products are compliance with safety standards, i.e. ISO 26262, and customer's safety requirements.
  • Support on Flex passing Safety Assessment by customer/OEM/Supervision organization

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Derive safety requirements, characteristics and allocate them to the safety goals
  • Design safety architecture and safety concept,
  • Plan the function activities in the automotive scope
  • Design the function safety strategy and technical requirement to hardware, software and mechanical
  • Perform and coordinate safety analysis (e.g. FTA/FMEA/FMEDA)
  • Support safety verification and validation
  • Assure that function safety requirement is fully validated
  • Maintain and upgrade Flex functional safety development process

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • Automotive EE product design and development (e.g. system design, HW design, or SW design)
  • Safety analysis experience (Deductive or/and Inductive, e.g. DFMEA, FTA, Fishbone, STPA)
  • Experience of safety analysis tool (e.g. Medini, ISOgraph)
  • ISO 26262 oriented development experience, with knowledge of how safety requirements cascading down to detailed implementations
  • Massive production project design experience
  • Good documentation work
  • 5 years+ work experience
  • Bachelor's degree or above on EE / Computing Science / Communication Engineering / Power Electronics / Automation Control or other relevant major
  • Good English skills on writing / reading / conversation

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

  • ADS or ADAS product development experience is a plus
  • Steering/Braking Control System development experience is a plus
  • SOTIF or Cybersecurity experience is a plus
