Job Summary

In our Design Center in Timisoara our team creates technologies for the Automotive Market. Our power electronics portfolio includes Onboard Chargers, 48V and High-voltage DC/DC Converters. 

To support our design team, we are currently looking for a

Hardware Lead Engineer – High Voltage Inverter

Hardware Lead Engineer for High Voltage Inverter is responsible for the development and implementation of all relevant hardware design activities for the high voltage inverters in line with the Flex development processes and customer requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Leading the hardware design and development process of high voltage inverters, including schematic design, component selection, and PCB layout
  • Researching and evaluating new components, technologies, and suppliers to improve the performance and efficiency
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware components into the overall inverter system
  • Identifying and resolving hardware-related issues and challenges that may arise during the development process
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements
  • Continuously seeking opportunities for improvement in the design, development, and testing processes
  • Creating and maintaining detailed documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports
  • Providing regular progress updates and reports to project stakeholders

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Solid experience in Automotive Design or related engineering/technical discipline
  • Proven track record of experience in developing automotive high voltage inverters
  • Engineering studies in electronics, electrical engineering, technical informatics, mechatronics
  • Strong technical & analytical abilities (systematic approach, capability of abstraction and simplification)
  • Ability to present ongoing design projects to the customers – strong communication skills and customer oriented mindset
  • Fluent English and Romanian knowledge
  • Able to work flexibly and effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
