Job Description

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Organizes, conducts, monitors, and improves the quality department's activity in respective area;
  • Conducts management meetings with product assurance program department heads to establish, delineate and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives;
  • Has the authority and responsibility to stop any process or delivery of products in the event of a qualitative nonconformity endangering the company and the customer;
  • Ensures that all products, starting with products received from suppliers to final products, meet the quality requirements according to internal and customer specifications;
  • Ensures that quality inspection is conducted in accordance with internal specification and customer requirements;
  • Keeps in touch with the customer in terms of product quality (complaints, audits, quality documentation);
  • Responsible for managing customer audits and regulatory/compliance agency audits;
  • Ceases the manufacture of non-compliant products (found to be non-compliant following the quality inspection protocol) and their delivery to the customer;
  • Manages & analyses the quality control in production and customer complaints, response in 8D report format;
  • Analyzes, evaluates and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team;
  • Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities;
  • Cooperates with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures and goals;
  • Interface with customers on technical/quality issues and improvement initiatives;
  • Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures;
  • Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capacity of vendor to meet orders and vendor quality standards;
  • Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products on market to rectify problems.
  • Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met;
  • Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives.

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • Proven experience as quality manager;
  • Good knowledge and working experince  with Problem solving (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa), prevention (FMEA) and quality tools;
  • Conscientious and responsible;
  • A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach;
  • Outstanding communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills;
  • Well organized, able to prioritize and high capacity to solve problems;
  • High technical skills, analytical, able to assimilate information and draw conclusions quickly;
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent;
  • Fluent English skills: written / spoken / reading.
