Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Operations Training Manager (Metals- Mechanical) located in Guadalajara, North Site.

The Operations Training Manager (Metals- Mechanical), will be responsible for ensure the timely availability of highly qualified and certified talent, guaranteeing that the technical, operational, and compliance capabilities of personnel are aligned with corporate standards and business strategy. Lead the definition, prioritization, and execution of the comprehensive training model for RES, enabling operational continuity, production efficiency, ramp-ups, NPI maturation, and support for strategic campus projects.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Strategic Training Management
  • Operational Training Model Leadership (CDT, NPI)
  • Ensure that critical operations (Insertion, Welding, Bending, Punching, etc.) have:
  • Certified personnel visible on the HC roster
  • Multiskilling across shifts and buildings
  • Up-to-date dashboards for decision-making
  • Certification, Matrices, and Compliance Management
  • Trainer, Supervisor, and SME Management
  • Relationship with Internal Clients (Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Maintenance, HRBP)
  • Data, Dashboard, and Digital Tool Management
  • Prepare and publish training calendar, training co-ordination and logistics.
  • Ensure all operators are trained and certified based on process requirement in a timely manner.
  • Monitors and follows-up certification and re-certification activities.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree or Engineering degree in related fields (Administration, Engineering, Organizational Psychology, or related fields)
  • Master's degree in organizational development, Talent Development, or Administration preferred
  • Advanced English/ fluent conversation
  • Knowledge of Instructional Design Methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of QMS, ISO 45001/14001, EHS, IDLs, and MESPro.
  • Experience with competency matrices
  • Strong experience in technical training, operational certifications, and talent development in manufacturing – preferably metalworking
  • Desirable experience in metalworking operations (insertion, welding (TIG/MIG/robot), bending, presses, punching, peripheral processes).
  • Leadership of training and technical development teams
  • Knowledge of metalworking operations: insertion, welding (TIG/MIG/robot), bending, presses, punching, peripheral processes.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Influence and negotiation skills with operational areas
  • Change management and effective communication
  • Prioritization in high-pressure and multi-urgent scenarios
  • Technical leadership and team development
  • Analytical thinking and data-driven approach
