Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Process Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and support of high-volume manufacturing systems. This role is critical to ensuring robust, efficient, and scalable production processes in a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing systems tailored to customer applications
- Drive performance improvements across key manufacturing KPIs: OEE, Yield, Scrap, and Downtime
- Establish and refine robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters
- Lead root cause analysis for process failures independently or in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues in high-speed automated equipment
- Provide maintenance and repair support for manufacturing equipment as needed
- Demonstrate deep understanding of manufacturing processes, technologies, and product requirements
- Support the creation and execution of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Develop and implement process control methodologies and statistical process analysis
- Participate in cycle time reduction and process improvement initiatives
- Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation and work instructions
- Assist in developing training materials and deliver training to production personnel
- Evaluate and implement design updates and new manufacturing methods
- Work with advanced manufacturing technologies including pneumatics, conveyors, sensors, robotics, AMRs, vision systems, HMIs, and PLCs
- Lead and participate in process FMEAs (pFMEA)
- Apply statistical methods to forecast manufacturing capacity and future requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience
- At least 4 years in medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Proven experience in high-volume assembly and automated manufacturing systems
- Strong knowledge of robotics, vision systems, material handling, ultrasonic welding, foil sealing, and HMI/PLC controls
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally
