Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Production Manager located in Jiading, Shanghai.

Guides and coordinates activities of employees engaged in the following areas of a manufacturing department; multi-level assembly, electronic card/system testing and quality assurance to attain production goals consistent with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

  • The role will manage manufacturing and warehouse.
  • Work closely with the engineering, quality, planning, IT and other stakeholders to support the growing business.
  • Budget Control, organization development planning.
  • Pursuing the high-quality and low-cost, improve the utilization of machines.
  • Support new product introduction, design changes, process improvements, and test procedures.
  • Monitor/track WIP level and optimize.
  • Follow-up on work order aging.
  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Conduct floor cycle count, physical inventory.
  • Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
  • Guides department activities to hold up design of new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and help on test procedures.
  • Explores technology trends and market demand to plan projects.
  • Contributes with management, production, and marketing staff to resolve manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
  • Forecasts operating costs of department and directs preparation of budget requests.
  • Partners with team and management in the development of the strategic plan and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the function.
  • Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinates production activities with other functional groups such as planning and distribution.
  • Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
  • Accountable for controlling manufacturing operation and ensuring that production quality and cost targets are met.
  • Working in extremely complex problems where the research of situations or data from an evaluation of intangible factors.
  • Reviews budgets and schedules required by management.
  • Regulate relations with the executives and/or major customers to maintain relationships with them.
  • Resolve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading management levels for the achievements of the plant.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires Bachelor's degree in areas of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, etc
  • 8+ years of production management relevant experience.
  • Strong expertise in manufacturing or related technical areas (SMT, test, manual assembly).
  • Advanced leadership, process management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of multiple manufacturing processes and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Lean manufacturing.
  • Familiar with SAP.
  • Six-sigma yellow belt or above is preferred.
  • RBA knowledge is preferred
  • Be able to play a manager role in a team, showing promising characters of leadership, creativeness.
  • Independent self-motivated and well organized with analytical mind.
  • Good communication skills and production management skills.
  • Fluent English in Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing.
