Job summary:

To enable a Calibration Metrology Laboratory to stand out from a traditional model, it is essential for it to become more technological, efficient, and automated, thereby increasing quality and productivity.

Reporting to the Metrology Laboratory Manager, the role of Calibration Engineer involves improving and validating measurement methods, test systems, and technological tools that enhance the laboratory's technical capability, efficiency, and reliability.

The position performs activities related to the analysis, design, evaluation, validation, automation, and implementation of metrological solutions that support different functional areas of the laboratory, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Analyze the laboratory's technical needs and develop new procedures.
• Evaluate international standards (NIST, EURAMET, OIML) to propose robust methods.
• Perform pilot tests and studies on repeatability, linearity, and stability.
• Document and implement newly approved procedures.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• Degree in Metrology, Mechatronics, Electromechanics, Industrial Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• Solid knowledge of dimensional, electrical, force/torque, pressure, or temperature metrology (depending on the area).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and uncertainty calculation.
• Experience in automation, basic programming, or digital tools (desired).
• Compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.
