Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

We are seeking to hire a Senior Director, Corporate Accounting to support the VP, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer by leading the head-office
accounting and payroll accounting groups for newly spun-off public company.


What a typical day looks like:

  • Own and drive the month-end accounting close process for Corporate entities enabling accurate and efficiently reported financial results within tight deadlines for a large global and publicly traded manufacturer.
  • Manage treasury, deferred compensation, corporate aircraft and legal accrual accounting.
  • Lead U.S. payroll, benefits, and workers' compensation accounting, and budgeting.
  • Manage forecast and cash flow cycles for Corporate accounting business unit.
  • Act as primary contact for external and internal audits of Corporate accounting and take primary responsibility for SOX compliance for Corporate & U.S payroll.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with regional accounting, FP&A, GBS, legal, tax and other corporate functions and support M&A activity, corporate reorganizations and other projects.
  • Lead and develop the Corporate & Payroll accounting teams.
  • Own vendor relationship in conjunction with payroll manager for outsourced U.S. payroll provider.
  • Maintain up-to-date policies and procedure documentation.

The experience we are looking to add to our team:

  • BA/BS in Accounting and Certified Public Accountant
  • Track record of 10+ years of progressive experience in management positions Ideally in head-office and payroll accounting at a public traded company
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial and management accounting and reporting under US GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and its application are essential.
  • Ability to proactively and productively collaborate with executive management, Audit Committee, outside legal counsel, valuation experts, external auditors, and various departments within the company.
  • Strong leader that drives execution and builds the necessary capability to succeed; initiates action and commits to achieving business outcomes by taking accountability for goals.
  • Strong business acumen, financial skills, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to drive multiple projects forward concurrently, effectively leverages resources to drive results and ability to create excellent and sustainable processes.
