Job Summary

Our Milan campus is part of the Flex Health Solutions segment. Here a team of 200 engineers design and build medical devices for many of the world's largest pharmaceutical and medical technology companies. 

In every pharmacy, hospital, health care clinic throughout the world you will be able to find products that Flex help to develop for clients in medical segment  

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior PCB layout engineer located in Milan or Timisoara.

The candidate will be responsible for the design, layout and library parts management of medical printed circuit boards. 

What a typical day looks like:

  • Fully own designs from initial specifications through completion
  • Generate the complete documentation for manufacturability, including gerber files, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and all supporting documentation
  • Work closely with other functional groups (including product design, electrical engineering, and operations) to define and execute design methodology
  • Implement of design standards, including DFM and DFT, to satisfy the manufacturing requirements
  • Work closely with other functional groups (including electrical engineering, mechanical engineering) to define and execute design methodology
  • Provide library support, with a full understanding of parts creation, pad stacks, required spacing and clearances
  • Participates in design review

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Graduate in Electrical Engineering (MS degree) and
  • a minimum of 3 years PCB design experience with a comprehensive knowledge of design requirements as it relates to electrical, mechanical and manufacturing requirements.
  • The ability to work and navigate using Altium Designer.
  • Both experiences with Orcad Capture CIS and Cadence Allegro would be a plus.
  • Experience with PCB stack up as it relates to impedance, cross coupling, and capacitance
  • The ability to manually route multi layer printed circuit boards with analog circuitry
  • Experience with PCB stack up as it relates to impedance, cross coupling, and capacitance
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and design requirements for board fabrication and board assembly procedures
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Willing to travel abroad for small periods of time
  • Good teamplayer
  • Open to learn
