Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Staff Test & Debug Engineer located in Perai, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Support development, implementation, and maintenance of continuous improvement programs with respect to the manufacture of Customer products at Supplier's manufacturing site in Malaysia using LEAN principles, such as Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Testability (DFT), and concepts in Six Sigma statistical analysis of processes.
  • Provide important feedback to Customer's design function to support Customer's design for manufacturability.
  • Support development of tooling to be used by Supplier in the manufacturing of Customer products.
  • Support development of manufacturing procedures to be used at Supplier's manufacturing facilities specifically for the manufacture of Customer products.
  • Support training of Supplier assemblers on new Customer specific manufacturing processes approved by Customer in the manufacture of Customer products.
  • Drive troubleshoot Supplier manufacturing issues that occur or are identified during product development cycle and support Customer's technical solutions via analysis and hands-on interaction with designated processes at Supplier's manufacturing site in Malaysia.
  • Drive agreed experiments at Supplier's facility in Malaysia to support robust manufacturing processes.
  • Research/understand underlying scientific principles related to manufacturing processes
  • Recommend optimal process settings to be used in production of Customer products.
  • Review quality standards of Customer products to make sure there are no problems; test all materials extensively to analyze how each item meets the standard.
  • Prepare and submit daily or weekly reports as required per project.
  • Engage on pre-qualification and reliability activities

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Possesses a Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in the related field is required
