This newly created full-time position will be focused on an existing manufacturing line at the beginning of the process where the SMT process is happening.

Will be responsible for process engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality and delivery improvements in order to support a PCBA manufacturing organization.

Principle Accountabilities:

· Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability (dfx study)

· Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production

· Oversee new process equipment production

· Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters

· Trouble shoot process related issues

· Participate to activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements

· Evaluate and select various engineered materials

· Implement statistical process reviews on new and existing products

· Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements.

· Improve manufacturing techniques and through put.

· Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities

· Develop and maintain process documentation

· Review processing methods

· Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer

· Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer

· Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.

· Manage cost improvement/reduction programs

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience and training

Experience: Typically requires at least 2 years of process / equipment work experience in any of the following:

  • Screen Printers
  • SPI - Screen Printer Inspection
  • AOI - Automated Optical inspection
  • Reflow Ovens
  • Selective Solder
  • In circuit testing
  • IPC 610 Standards
  • SMT Routing
  • Other Automation.

Must have some demonstrable knowledge of computerized electronic test equipment and programming.

Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills required.
