Job Description

The SR. Automation Engineer will be based in Guadalajara, North Campus. Responsible for specifying, designing and maintaining automation equipment, tooling and applications as required to meet specifications

Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:

  • Design layout of automation tool shop (Equipment needed, tooling needed, etc.)
  • Be part of the hiring decisions of automation team (Looking for the best talent).
  • Design and engineer moderately complex automation equipment, tooling and applications.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Implement cost effective automation.
  • Provide status reports as per established schedule.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to the operation of the automation equipment.
  • Drive the team to achieve the projects closure on time.
  • In charge of looking for automation opportunities across of the operation.

Here is some of what you'll need (required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical electrical or Related
  • 10 years of Automation work experiences
  • Project or program management in a related industry (capital equipment, manufacturing automation, defense) with a track record of automation projects execution from definition to deployment.
  • Advanced automation: Mechatronics & robotics, Complex Mechanisms, Motion systems, controls, PLC's, SCADA's, Vision systems, Pneumatics & Hydraulics
  • Excited and enthusiastic with manufacturing and assembly automation
  • Well organized, pay attention to details, methodical
  • A Team player and a great collaborator
  • A Great communicator – verbally and written
  • A mechanical engineer
  • Automation project experiences
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Presentation skills strong knowledge in PowerPoint
  • Experience working with automation suppliers.
  • Proven successful track record of working in high-tech and fast paced environments.
  • A self-starter who can operate autonomously while knowing when to ask for help or guidance.
  • Ability to effectively influence/lead change
